Using Champion's modular construction, 52 modules were delivered to the site, four units at a time. The units were set in 11 days and the building was open for occupancy six months later.

Challenge

Construct a four-story modular apartment over first floor site constructed apartments on a very tight project site in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Solution

Through the use of modular construction, the Champion Commercial Structures team was able to deliver a timely project on a very challenging site. By carefully coordinating with the customer, CCS was able to provide matching materials for the site constructed portions, which ensured the end result was a uniform, consistent building. Careful attention to scopes of work made sure there was no duplication of efforts and nothing was overlooked, resulting in a smooth project, on time and on budget.
